FLUX 3 Video API or a workspace? A creator’s guide
FLUX 3 Video can be used through Black Forest Labs' own dashboard and API, or through products that build a focused workflow around the model. The right route depends on whether you want to build software or direct a shot.

Direct API access is for building a product
A direct Black Forest Labs API account is for developers or teams integrating the model into their own software. You manage an account, API key, provider billing, technical implementation, error handling, and the user experience around each generation.
This route gives a product team flexibility, but it also makes the team responsible for the application it builds around the API.

- Build the interface and media workflow yourself.
- Manage provider billing and operational safeguards.
A workspace is for directing the video
A workspace wraps a specific creative flow around a model. Vidatiq currently focuses on FLUX 3 text-to-video: write a prompt, choose Draft or final quality, choose HD or FHD and duration, then review the visible credit estimate before rendering.
That is a different product layer from an API. Vidatiq does not currently expose a customer-facing FLUX 3 API or every model-level capability documented by Black Forest Labs.

- Private project history keeps finished work in the workspace.
Choose the route that matches your job
Use direct API access when you are building a product, need custom orchestration, or have engineering resources. Use a focused workspace when the job is to develop a shot, understand its visible cost, and keep a simple creative record.
Both routes still require responsible use: clear rights for inputs, documented consent for real people, and appropriate disclosure when synthetic media could be mistaken for real footage.
